The Big Redesign
If you’ve been to this site before, you’ll probably notice that a few things have changed. Here’s the main points to look out for:
Photoblog: The photoblog has now taken centre-stage. I’ve spent most of my time over the past year concentrating on photography and I felt the site should reflect this. I’m aiming to post a new photo every day, this will include new and archived photos that haven’t been online before.
Navigation: To go from one picture / post to the next, click the arrow tabs above the top-right corner of the main frame. The buttons keep within the same category so photos will send you to the next/prev photos, textblogs to the next/prev textblogs, etc. If either arrow is faded out, then you’ve reached the end of the line.
Archive: This is where you can find a link to every single entry all on one page. At the top is a tag cloud, click any of the words to find all entries tagged with that word. Below the tag cloud are complete archive lists for the three blog categories as well as the top five 'most liked' posts.
I Like This: At the bottom left of every image is an 'I Like This' button. If you like the image, click the button, simple! It’s a good way of showing me that you like something without having to leave a comment. The 'I Like This' button is available in the bottom-right corner for textblog entries.
Subscribe: As well as subscribing by RSS feed, there is now the option of subscribing by email. If you’d like to receive notices of new content via email, just enter sign-up on the subscribe page.
There are a few other additions (the links page, for example) but the above changes are the main things that have changed the way the website works. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy the changes.
